English Cabaret Hour Valentine's Edition

Following the success of English Cabaret's Christmas playlist on YouTube, they have once again plundered their library of recordings to create a Valentine's collection.

Here are songs that evoke all the emotions associated with falling in love, from the first joyful pangs where 'love is the easiest thing to do' through love unrequited, obsessive love and the anguish of forbidden love. Alongside songs by Sue Casson with Premier Cru, Sharp Practise and John Jansson, Lily sings songs from The Happy Prince, Stephen Schwartz's The Bakers Wife, McFly and adds in the unadulterated romanticism of The Slipper & The Rose for good measure!

From 5th February a song will be posted each day on YouTube and X, and a link to the full playlist will be available on Facebook on February 14th.
