A seasonal and satirical smorgasbord
of musical cabaret

Songs sung in evenings of cabaret have been an inspiration for the theatre shows produced by the English Cabaret team for over 25 years. At their heart has always been an intimate setting to experiment with ideas, test new material and play music with a 'favoured few' chosen friends. In recent years we have called this 'English Cabaret Hour'.

Inspirational quotations from his speeches, autobiography and previously unpublished letters are woven with Sue Casson’s ethereal musical settings of poetry he found inspiring.

Casson stepped away from the piano to team up with jazz whizz John Jansson for Ivory Images and later rejoined exuberant multi-instrumentalist Chris Brannick for Cabarets in the Castle, seasons at Don't Tell Mama in New York and two CDs - Elegantly Wasted and Tutankhamun All Wrapped Up.

Since then, there has been cabaret on the Battersea Barge in London, and regular seasons of English Cabaret Hour which spawned alter-egos Clarence Posit (Robert), and Lily's English Singing Baking which continued online, as well as solo shows for her and Casson on the Edinburgh Fringe.
