A blog, a micro-cast and a show
Over the last 2 years of pandemic, the theatre world as we know it has been blown apart. Theatres dark for the first time since WWII, shows unable to continue due to cast absence, or cancelled for lack of funds, audiences reluctant to attend for fear of infection.
With musicals made inaccessible for many over this time, Lily Casson is on a mission to share her love of them as an art form and to celebrate the magic they bring to our lives in I Heart Musicals. A live show is planned for later in the year when the theatre world is back on its’ feet, but you can enjoy her blog posts now, featuring shows from a century of song and the stories that lie behind them. Or why not listen to her sing some of her favourite featured songs and tell you how they came to be.
