English Cabaret popped up in Blackwell's Marquee during The Oxford Literary Festival, which is held in the heart of the University, in the shadow of the Bodleian Library. This is just 100 yards from Balliol College, where Maxwell Fyfe studied.
Across the road in the Weston Library - the Bodleian's newly refurbished wing,
3 original reissues of Magna Carta were on display. Both College and documents were created in the thirteenth century, during the pre-plague renaissance.

English Cabaret were delighted to be invited by Helena Kennedy to open her Mansfield College Lecture Series with a performance of Dreams of Peace & Freedom. It marked the 70th anniversary of David Maxwell Fyfe's return from the Nuremberg Trials to address OUCA, and his daughter Pamela, who was then in her first term at Oxford, was also there.
